The waiting. The waiting to our normal to continue, the waiting for our time to go to the movies again, the waiting for our time to be able to dance together. There is so much we are waiting for, and the waiting can create anxiety, worry or even sadness. How do we handle the uncertain?
Recognize when you are feeling this change in emotions. Do you tend to get more irritable, uneasy, angry, feel shortness of breath, tend to cry easily?
Where do you feel it in your body? Do you feel it in your stomach, your chest, your jaw and neck or even your hands?
Identify coping skills and think of which one fits what you need at this time.
Take a deep breath and utilize your coping skill.
The waiting and the unknown is the toughest part of things. Although we do not have answers and so many questions are being answered with “I don’t know”, what we do know is that we are all here to support you. We are all sitting in this ambiguity together.
