INCREASED RACIAL/ETHNIC DIVERSITY

At the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year, students of color make up 25% of our overall student body. Students of color represented 20% of all new enrollees and, specifically, 40% of our Early Learners class were students of color. We believe we have a responsibility to continue this upward trend in our enrollment.  The school supports continuous reflection and learning about diversity, equity and inclusion. We have set new goals to deepen our understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion through courses and practical experiences. The Coordinator of Student Support and Inclusion will provide students and faculty with opportunities to develop knowledge, dispositions, and skills to engage in and facilitate dialogue across differences. Our student-led Upper School Community Council was established in 2018. Made up of students from all different backgrounds and perspectives,  the goal of the Community Council is to ensure that every member of our school community feels that they are a valued and their voices are heard.
