AP Courses

In May 2017, 71 of our students took 158 AP Exams in 18 subjects. The strongest student will typically carry five to seven AP courses between tenth and twelfth grade. The average for the Class of 2018 is 3.5 courses.  Unlike other schools, at Heritage all students enrolled in AP classes take the exam.

Heritage offers 20 Advanced Placement courses. Successful completion of these advanced courses can earn a student college credit at many colleges and universities. Students are recommended for these courses each year based on success in prerequisites courses, PSAT scores, and classroom work ethic. All AP courses are weighted with an additional 10% at year end to legitimize comparisons with non-AP courses. Though some courses are not offered every year, our current AP classes include the following.
