In Middle School, we believe a student learns as much about their world and themselves outside our classrooms as they do within them. Therefore, we offer multiple extracurricular opportunities for students. The Heritage School offers both developmental and interscholastic sports programs. Middle School sports that compete inter-scholastically beginning in sixth grade, include football, soccer, softball, tennis, cross country, cheerleading, track and field, baseball, and swimming while volleyball and basketball teams are composed of 7th and 8th grade students. Our offering of developmental programs continues to expand and now includes the sports of: flag football, cross country, volleyball, basketball, and Futsal.
Middle School students have the opportunity to join various clubs throughout the school year. Clubs may meet before school, after school, or during the school day. Clubs open to Middle School students that meet before and after school include the Math Counts Team, Builders’ Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Athletes’ Leadership Seminar, the Student Government Association, and Pep Club and Band. Middle School students have a choice of over a dozen different student-designed clubs to attend during Friday Activity Time. These include Computer Programming Club, Middle School Newspaper Club, Spanish Club, Science Lovers’ Club, Outdoor Survival Club, Field Game Club, and Creators’ Club.
